If you would like to learn how to photograph birds, particularly birds in flight, you've come to the right place.  I have spent the last several years developing techniques for using large telephoto lenses hand held to photograph birds and birds in flight.  In November of 2006, I began sharing my techniques with others via my Flight School Photography workshops.  Many of my students have applied the techniques they learned during my workshops to create amazing images of birds in flight.  Success using hand held techniques isn't a matter of strength, it's a matter of using the proper techniques.  If you are fit enough to comfortably hold your gear in shooting position for 20 seconds or more, than I can teach you how to photograph birds in flight. 

I provide two types of workshops: a variety of Small Group Workshops (see below) and Custom Anytime Workshops. 

Small Group Workshops are scheduled in advance and have a fixed itinerary and featured subjects.  They are provided to small groups of individuals, and the number of participants is limited.  Small Group Workshops include both classroom instruction and informal instruction in the field.  The groups are kept small so that everyone gets lots of personal instruction in the field. 

Custom Anytime Workshops may be scheduled any time that I am available.  Each workshop is tailored to the goals of the  participant(s).  Participants define what they want to learn and what subjects they want to photograph. The Custom Anytime Workshops take place in Central Florida via land, via boat, or both, or I can travel to a location of your choosing.
